The Hollywood Foundation proudly wrapped up 2025 with a powerful CSI initiative in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, bringing festive spirit and compassion to the forefront across our Cape Town, Gauteng, and Durban offices. On 3 December, Team Members came together for a high-energy national volunteer activation dedicated to improving food security in vulnerable communities. This meaningful CSI experience showcased the heart of our organisation and the power of unity, service, and Ubuntu in action.
The day was filled with excitement as volunteers from the Hollywood Group donned their hair nets and gloves to step into the role of Santa’s helpers. Guided by Rise Against Hunger facilitators, our CSI volunteers formed production lines to pack nutritious, shelf-stable meals designed to support long-term hunger relief efforts. Through laughter, singing, and friendly competition between Teams, the activation highlighted how impactful CSI efforts can be when driven by enthusiasm and Teamwork. Together, we packed 38 442 meals across the three regions.
“Seeing Hollywood Group Team Members come together to pack meals with such energy and care is inspiring. Each meal provides hope and nutrition for children who need it most,” said Rise Against Hunger representative, Kim Carrington, reflecting on the day’s impact.
Beyond the energy and Teamwork, the CSI initiative carried a deeper purpose, to bring hope to families facing food insecurity during the festive season, and young children. These meals will support 352 children at ECD centres over 12 months, offering dignity, nourishment, and comfort during a time of increased hardship.
As we reflect on this inspiring CSI activation, we are reminded that meaningful change begins with simple acts of kindness carried out together. The Hollywood Foundation extends gratitude to all Team Members who participated and embodied the spirit of Ubuntu: I am because we are. Their dedication ensured that our involvement in this initiative was successful, and filled with warmth, unity, and purpose.
