The Hollywood Foundation, through its CSI initiatives and focus on Sports Development, is committed to transforming communities by supporting grassroots sports. Under the “My Sport” pillar, the Foundation provides resources to local clubs that use sport as a tool for growth, discipline, and opportunity. On 25 July 2025, this commitment was in action when Siwelele FC received brand-new soccer kits and equipment, giving the young Team the means to train effectively and compete with pride.
Nominated by the Hollywoodbets Brackenham branch, Siwelele FC was established in 2010, with the mission to guide young people away from negative influences and help them showcase their football talent. The Club has 25 players, all under the age of 21, who dedicate themselves to training and improving their performance through structured Sports Development programmes. Over the years, the Club has celebrated significant milestones, including producing players who have moved on to the under 23 Richards Bay Football Reserve Team.
Before the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI support, Siwelele FC struggled with essential resources. Without proper kits, they were often forced to borrow from other Teams, and a lack of training equipment limited their preparation for matches. The contribution, delivered under the “My Sport” pillar, will now allow the Team to train effectively, sharpen their skills, and compete at higher levels.
Chairman Sipho Mthembu shared his appreciation: “This contribution will assist the Team to conduct proper training and prepare for matches with the right equipment. It gives our players a sense of pride and motivates them to work harder.” Through ongoing Sports Development under its CSI programmes, the Hollywood Foundation continues to open doors for talented young athletes, ensuring they have the opportunities and tools to achieve their goals.
