On 12 May 2025, the Hollywood Foundation’s Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) Team proudly handed over essential equipment to Spotless Mobile Car Care (Pty) Ltd, a vibrant mobile car wash based in Durban. The handover took place at HUTS, where owner Bulelani Phillip Nogqala received a Bennett Read Vacuum and a Pressure Washer. This is equipment that would significantly improve his operations. This heartfelt contribution is part of the Foundation’s continued commitment to SMME Development through its impactful “My Business” pillar.
Before receiving assistance, Spotless Mobile Car Care operated using only water buckets and small brooms, which made interior cleaning a time-consuming and inefficient process. As a result, customer satisfaction began to decline. The ESD intervention from the Hollywood Foundation has brought about a turning point in Bulelani’s business by restoring lost equipment and reigniting hope for growth. This contribution to SMME Development ensures that small businesses can bounce back stronger and continue creating jobs and services in their communities.
Thanks to the Hollywood Foundation, Spotless Mobile Car Care is now operating with greater efficiency, completing more car washes in less time, and regaining customer confidence. The ESD support has empowered the business to take a significant step forward, proving just how critical development-focused partnerships are to the success of SMMEs in South Africa.
“I am without words,” said Bulelani. “But I will start by extending a big thank you to the Hollywood Foundation for their generous support. Small businesses like mine rarely get a second chance, but the Foundation believed in us. We’re proud to be associated with a brand that genuinely champions SMME Development. Thank you so much!”
This story is a shining example of how strategic ESD support can help entrepreneurs turn challenges into opportunities.
