Hollywood Foundation Uplifts Small Businesses at the Limpopo Bambelela Business Awards 2025

Limpopo –The Hollywood Foundation has once again showcased its commitment for small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) by hosting the prestigious Bambelela Business Awards 2025 in Limpopo. Held over two days, this highly anticipated event built on the momentum of the successful 2024 edition, reinforcing the Foundation’s dedication to fostering economic empowerment and community development through the growth of SMMEs in the region.

The Limpopo Bambelela Business Awards kicked off with an exhibition and seminar on 22 January, followed by a prestigious Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony on 23 January. The event was a resounding success, with a focus on celebrating innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurial excellence. With an increased investment of R1 million, the Hollywood Foundation provided financial support while also creating a platform for networking, collaboration, and mentorship, highlighting its long-term commitment to the growth and sustainability of SMMEs in the province.

Ms. Vuyisile Ngobese, Public Relations Officer for the Hollywood Foundation, expressed her thoughts on the event’s success: “This year’s Bambelela Business Awards in Limpopo highlighted the resilience and determination of local entrepreneurs. As a proudly South African business operating in Limpopo, we are deeply invested in seeing the local community thrive. These businesses are not only vital to the region’s economic growth but also to job creation and community upliftment. The awards brought together a distinguished group of thought leaders, business experts, and government representatives. As in previous years, the event honoured SMMEs that have demonstrated remarkable growth, leadership, and a commitment to social responsibility within their sectors.

MEC Funani Jerry Maseko of the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture who delivered a speech on behalf of Honourable Premier Dr. Phophi Constance Ramathuba said, “The Limpopo Bambelela Business and Seminar properly compliments LEDET’s aim to promote local economic development and drive economic empowerment and transformation in our province”.

The 2025 Limpopo Bambelela Business Awards celebrated the exceptional achievements of local entrepreneurs, while also providing a platform for future collaboration and growth.
