The Hollywood Foundation is always at the forefront of sports development, and this July, the Purple Team went an extra mile by supporting Impala Rugby Club with sports equipment and financial assistance for a rugby clinic in Rustenberg.
Impala Rugby Club was established in 1895 and currently has 238 players, who are divided into three teams. The players are aged between nine and 13, and they practise three times a week, at the Impala Rugby Club Stadium. This academy was established with the aim to develop and nurture talent from a young age.
According to Wynand Burger, the Chairperson at Impala Rugby Club, their proudest moment was when they won the National Club Championship. The club has also produced players who have been promoted to the Currie Cup. In addition to providing the equipment for the clinic, the Purple Team also offered financial assistance for the club to purchase food, beverages and T-shirts for the players. Burger also thanked the Team.
