Based in the Eastern Cape, Helenvale United FC has been impacting men through sport since 1985. The club is comprised of eight teams, who practice twice a week at Helenvale Sports Field. The club was formed at a significant time and it began as a means to try to curb violence and prevent boys from living on the streets and belonging to violent gangs in the region. Some of the club’s proudest moments were winning the Mayoral Cup Region and the Premier League.
The Hollywood Foundation chose to extend a helping hand to this club, and on 20 January 2022, the Team from Korsten visited the club to hand over much-needed items, such as jerseys, socks and soccer kits.
