Imidushane Rugby Club has been growing the game of rugby at grassroots level since 1972.
The East London-based Club plays an important role within their local community as they aim to grow the game of rugby by developing the skills of young players. With interest from the local community peaking, the Club is also able to use rugby as a means of keeping youngsters off the streets and safe from the harmful activities that they could potentially be exposed to.
As part of Hollywoodbets’ and Phaka’s mission to support rugby at grassroots level, a visit was arranged to Imidushane to hand over some useful gear to the Club. All in all, the club received a brand-new match kit, rugby balls, training cones, pole protectors, contact shields, tackle bags, whistles and an all-important first aid kit.
Coach of the Imidushane Rugby Club, Bulelani Metu, had this to say, “This kind donation from Hollywoodbets and Phaka will help our young players to improve their skills and realise their aspirations.”
