Hollywoodbets Voortrekker chose to support Ilitha Educare Centre as part of Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2019/2020. Read on to learn more about the team’s visit.

In 2012 the crèche opened its doors when they saw that there was a need for young children to be provided with a form of education instead of just being left with older family members during the day. The centre cares for 28 children every day by educating them as well as giving them nutritious meals.
The Hollywoodbets Voortrekker Team visited the centre after they saw that the centre was lacking in resources. The Team made a donation of chairs, tables, colouring books, two wooden cots, a stove, a microwave, two heaters and four mattresses.
Carer at the centre, Noluthando Tshoko, was very thankful to the Hollywoodbets Team.
“This donation will help us with educating the children. We are also happy that they will now be able to sleep on the mattresses and not on the floor and that we can now cook food for them on the stove,” she said.
