Super Stricker was established in 2001. It comprises of two teams that consist of 46 players. The team trains Monday to Thursday, every week. The club was formed to promote soccer skills and soccer knowledge within the community and acts as a safe haven to allow young kids an opportunity to ply their trade in the industry, instead of getting distracted by the various socio-economic problems in the area. The club stated that their proudest moment to date was being victorious in the Black Label Tournament.
The club relies mainly on donations from local businessmen to keep the club afloat and the club was humbled to learn that the Hollywood Foundation have come to their aid. The handover took place on 11 February 2022, when the Team from Hendrina was proud to hand over new soccer kits to the team. A representative from Super Stricker FC, Joseph Nkosi, was delighted to receive the donation. “This contribution will go a long way in assisting our team. It will allow the players to feel confident on matchdays, so they can perform to the best of their ability,” he added.
