Hollywoodbets Hendrina chose to support Shandi FC as part of the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2019/2020. Read on to learn more about the team’s visit.

The club facilitates four weekly practise sessions at KwaZamokuhle Sports Grounds. They were started in 2016 and currently there are 36 players associated with the club. The club came about because interested members of the community are trying to prevent the youth in the area from turning to drugs and alcohols. Instead they chose to promote sportsmanship around the townships and expose these young people to coaching clinics.
The Team from Hollywoodbets Hendrina heard about the club through a local soccer league. They donated a full playing kit to Shandi.
James Ndimande, Coach of the club, was thankful for this donation.
“We now look uniform and other teams respect us. We also now have a home and away kit which is a requirement made by SAFA,” he said.
