This unique football club was established in 2015. Their main goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle with their ultimate hope being to reduce illness related to inactivity among the elderly women in their community. The club is proud to see that their 36 players can go a whole 40 minutes on the field without even one break! The ladies are aged between 55 and 80 years, and practise twice a week at Mandlanzini Sports Grounds.
The Hollywoodbets Richards Bay Team were extremely impressed by the story behind this club and the fact that they’re promoting the elderly to live a clean and healthy lifestyle. For this reason, the club received a full playing kit from the Team.
Representative of the club, Bhekani Thabede, was excited for the ladies to receive their new uniforms.
“Our team can’t wait to wear their new kit when they play games in their league. They will wear it with pride and respect as this is the first time we have ever received a match kit to wear. Thank you Hollywoodbets!” he said.
