The Hollywood Foundation is continuing to make a positive change in the country through its focus on developing sports teams. Khayelitsha United FC was happy to receive support and assistance at the start if this year. The club began its mission to harness the talent of soccer players in 2003. The club was formed to empower young individuals within the community and keep them away from substance abuse and crime-related activities. It is comprised of seven teams and 120 players, who practice four days a week. Players at the club were picked for the provincial teams and children were also invited to talks at SuperSport United Pretoria.
On 17 January 2022, the Team from Beacon Valley paid a friendly visit to the club to hand over the brand-new kits. The new gear was welcomed with open arms, as the club lacked proper uniform for the players to use. A representative for Khayelitsha United FC, thanked the Team for the support, and said, “We will be proud to wear the kit. We will perform to our best and the players will be more motivated because they will be wearing a kit that contains the name of a major sponsor.”
