Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies National Soccer Team

Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies

Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies was established in 1969 and it consists of 105 players who are between the ages of 20 and 30 years. It aims to afford young, aspiring footballers an opportunity to develop their skills. The club took part in Hollywoodbets’ Women’s Month campaign and scored one goal.

The Team chose to donate an amount of R6 000 to Lesedi Centre of Hope, which is based in Turflaagte, Bloemfontein. The organisation was launched in 2004, as a response to the growing challenges of HIV/AIDs in society. Currently, the Centre’s main service is its home and community-based care and support programme, which is offered around townships and informal settlements in the area. The donation will indeed put a smile on many faces as it will support members within the Centre in the form of food items, toiletries and diapers.
