Established in 2015, Bambanani FC has been impacting various footballers from around Lister Farm. The club is comprised of two teams and 28 players, who enjoy practice sessions from Monday to Friday. The club was primarily formed to develop the skills of youth members, and to prevent them from engaging in acts of crime. One of the club’s proudest moment was winning an amount of R15 000.
At the start of this year, the Hollywood Foundation has been engaging with various sporting teams throughout the country, and handing over brand-new kits to them. The Team from Newcastle was happy to visit Bambanani FC on 17 January 2022, to deliver their share of new soccer kits. Siyaya Nkosinati, the Coach for the soccer team, was proud to receive the new kits, and added that it will make a huge difference to the players, who used to compete without a proper gear.
