
#HopeIsPower – Little Noddy Pre-School
Little Noddy is a pre-school located in Berea, Durban, and focuses on the welfare of children. The school seeks to offer a stimulating, caring and nurturing environment for children from 3 months to Grade R.

Little Noddy is a pre-school located in Berea, Durban, and focuses on the welfare of children. The school seeks to offer a stimulating, caring and nurturing environment for children from 3 months to Grade R.

This organisation has the aim of developing channels and opening networks via its members and partners. It then uses their contributions, such as time, skills or funding, to conduct significant and sustainable schemes.

This initiative began in May last year and aims to bring food relief to individuals in the Asherville, Overport and Springtown areas in Durban, amid the coronavirus pandemic. Its first feeding scheme kicked off with 50 people, and they have since grown to now feeding 380 people every Thursday, with grocery hampers also being handed out once a month. At the moment, the initiative has in excess of 90 households on its database, consisting of the elderly, vulnerable and disabled.

The Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre is located in Queensburgh, Durban, and aims to support and assist children who are in need. Currently, the organisation provides shelter to 120 children who are orphaned or neglected.

The Team from Hollywoodbets visited the organisation on Monday, 26 July and gave food hampers, which formed part of the #HopeIsPower campaign.

The Ntenga Foundation makes use of charity events to raise money for people in need. A recent effort included providing school shoes for children across Africa. This youth-led non-profit organisation has sought to help many organisations that fell victim to the recent violent protests and unrest that took place in KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Gauteng.

The Hollywoodbets Team visited the shelter on Monday, 26 July and graciously donated four food hampers that contain essential items, which forms part of the #HopeisPower campaign to assist organisations.

As part of the #HopeIsPower campaign, the Team from Hollywoodbets lent a helping hand and gave the organisation food hampers, as food security was identified as an immediate risk to the home.

Over the past 20 years, East Coast Radio’s Big Favour has helped thousands of non-governmental organisations, businesses and people in KwaZulu-Natal during difficult times. Hollywoodbets will donate R100 000 in aid of East Coast’s Radio Big Favour Campaign.

The communities of Tembisa, Kliptown and Soweto received some much-needed relief after a week of unrest in the province. Through the Hollywoodbets #HopeisPower campaign, DJ Shimza together with his Shimuzic Foundation made a R100 000 donation amongst community members and businesses in need.

Hollywoodbets and the Sharks have joined their efforts to rebuild KwaZulu-Natal by uplifting communities and the livelihoods of local citizens. As a part of the #HopeisPower campaign, Hollywoodbets proudly contributed R50k to the Sharks’ #handsofhope initiative.

This non-governmental organisation provides care, knowledge and support to the community of Bayview, Chatsworth, that has been severely affected by poverty and suffering caused by drug trafficking and substance abuse which contributes to Gender-Based Violence.

The Hollywoodbets team visited the Siza Community Care organisation, The organisation operates from uMlazi M section and provides a platform for agricultural stakeholders to have ethical and environmentally sustainable trade. We did a hand over of essential food parcels with food security proving difficult after the recent civil unrest.

Our Purple Team visited Ekhanana Old Age Home, based in Umlazi W Section. Hollywoodbets have recognised the importance of supporting the elderly during this time as many have found themselves in vulnerable circumstances as access to essentials may prove difficult.

Through the Hollywoodbets #HopeisPower campaign, the organisation received some relief through a donation that consisted of essential food items.

This Inanda-based Creche was delighted to be one of the selected recipients in the Hollywoodbets #HopeisPower campaign. Through a donation, the Creche received essential items such as bread, rice, milk, canned foods, flour, sugar and more.
