Thubalethu High School was ecstatic to receive a special visit from the Hollywood Foundation Team this December, who handed over rugby equipment at the school. The handover forms part of various rugby sponsorships that have been done by the Purple Team this year. The aim of this support is to continue nurturing young athletes, as part of the development from grassroots levels.
The Eastern Cape-based school was established in 1989, with the aim to educate learners. The school’s rugby team teaches learners discipline while grooming them to become future rugby stars.
Upon their visit, the Hollywood Foundation Team was privileged to present the school with a rugby sponsorship which included new rugby jerseys, shorts, socks, golf shirts, water bottles, tackle bags, pole protectors, cones, water bottle carriers, kicking tees and first aid kits. Aubrey Bokveldt, the Coach at Thubalethu High School, said that their goal is to produce learners and socially aware young men and women with good moral fibre. He said that they are grateful to the Hollywood Foundation for this generous gesture.
