The Hollywood Foundation is making a meaningful contribution across the country with their Back to School campaign, and once again came to the aid of an underprivileged school. Skylark Primary School is based in Phoenix, KwaZulu-Natal, and was left feeling elated and humbled to receive the contribution from the Foundation.
Established in 1985, the school has been a shining light in the community for the past 20 years. They have, however, struggled with limited resources, and coupled with the financial constraints that many of the learners are affected by, there have been many challenges to overcome. On 10 February 2022, the Team from HUTS paid a visit to the school. The school was selected by the Operations department and the Team was all smiles as they headed off to the school to hand over reams of paper and stationery. The donation was well received by the school, which stated that resources were a priority that they needed to address.
Mrs. S. Maharaj, a representative at the school, was grateful and hopeful after receiving the contribution from the Hollywood Foundation.
