The Hollywood Foundation is continuing to implement initiatives that will leave a lasting impact on many people in the country. Northwood School, and their Hope Project, identified Mt Royal Combined School in Phoenix as a school that required immediate assistance. Northwood School then approached the Hollywood Foundation to step in and assist, and the Team from KwaZulu-Natal was happy to lend a helping hand.
On 11 February 2022, the Team was proud to visit the school to replace their old gas stove in the kitchen. The Hollywood Foundation has already made a huge impact at the school and assisted with renovations to their kitchen last year, where the Team fixed their cupboards which were falling, built cupboards under their sink, and replaced the tiles and cupboards around the sink which had been damaged by water. NG Gambu, a representative for the school, said that the school was struggling to finish their cooking on time to feed their learners, and added, “We hope that our children can be assisted in major ways in the future, as we are an underprivileged school.”
