With Education and Training being one of the pillars of the Hollywood Foundation, the Team continues to impact lives to ensure that learners are given enough resources to thrive in their academic journey.

Tuesday, 14 March 2023 was no different as the Purple Team together with Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassador, Robert Marawa, travelled to Thepo Ya Rona Secondary School in Golden Highway, Lenasia in Gauteng, for the Back to School campaign.

This campaign has seen over 200 schools benefit with school supplies for the 2023 academic year. Robert selected Thepo Ya Rona Secondary School to benefit from the campaign this year and he was excited to personally go to the school for the official handover.

The Team and Robert were humbled by a warm welcome from the learners and teachers at the school, who were thrilled to have the Hollywoodbets Brand Ambassador and sportscaster in their midst.

The school is noted as being one of the best performing schools in Gauteng, despite the challenges faced. Tshepo Ya Rona Secondary School was formed with the aim to produce learners that are able to identify and solve problems and make decisions using critical and creative thinking. The school believes in the principle of learners working effectively as individuals and with others as members of a team and for them to organise and manage themselves and their activities responsibly and effectively.

During the handover, Robert was thrilled to chat to the teachers and commended them for working hard in ensuring that the learners excel in their studies. The school received a contribution of school uniform and shoes from the Hollywood Foundation. This contribution is part of the R 4 million pledge made by the Foundation in November last year to ensure that learners start their academic year with confidence. This campaign is aimed at bringing relief to struggling parents by proving necessities for their children to be able to go to school, and also give them the confidence boost when they are with their peers.
