A good, clean, set of school uniform can indeed help to boost a learner’s confidence when coming to school. All learners feel a sense of pride when they have the same attire. Mulweli Primary School, which is based in Mpheni, was struggling with learners who could not afford to purchase the correct school uniform. Previously, teachers would get together and contribute uniforms for children who came from disadvantaged areas. The Hollywood Foundation was thrilled to use the Back to School campaign this year to touch many lives at the start of this new academic year.
Apart from educational services, the school also offers its learners sports activities and feeding programmes. Teachers, parents and learners were grateful and happy to receive a visit from the Makhado Team on 19 January 2022. The Team was all smiles as they handed over brand-new school uniforms for learners to wear this year for school.
TJ Mukwevho, a Teacher at Mulweli Primary School, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for their contribution, and added that learners will now be encouraged to attend lessons.
