Based in Namakqale Home, Mabine Primary School has been empowering and uplifting learners since 1978. The school seeks to actively make a difference in the lives of its learners through education and other activities, such as sports and drama classes. The school was grateful to receive assistance through the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign this year.
Previously, the school struggled to teach learners who did not own proper school uniforms. When learner’s feel different to others in the classroom, they tend to lack self-confidence, which may impact their studies. The Team from Phalaborwa was thrilled to add some hope to the lives of the learners for the new academic year through the contribution of school uniform and shoes.
The Principal of Mabine Primary School, MM Malesa, thanked the Team for their friendly visit, and said that the school supplies will help to make a positive impact on learners at the school, as “learners will now be encouraged to attend school every day.”
