In South Africa, we must harness the ability of the youth of today as they are our future, and the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign aims to invest and equip them with all the necessary skills, in order for them to make a successful contribution to society.
Khayalethu Primary School, in Mpumalanga, was the latest school to receive assistance from the campaign and they were extremely grateful for the support. The school was established in 1968. Previously, pupils at the school had many challenges with their school uniform as they come from financially challenged communities, but the Hollywood Foundation has since come to their aid.
The Team from Emalahleni paid a visit to the school on 29 March 2022, to hand over full sets of uniforms to all the learners. Thokozile Nkosi, the Principal at Khayalethu Primary School, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for contributing the uniform to the learners this year, and added that it will make a big difference to the learners’ performance and self-confidence. “It will help our learners feel comfortable as they attend school,” she said.
