The start of the schooling year can bring many struggles for parents, who now have to buy an assortment of stationery and uniform items for their children. The Hollywood Foundation has used the Back to School campaign to offer a lifeline to both teachers and parents, and it seeks to assist schools that aim to empower its learners, such as Beitbridge Primary School.
Beitbridge Primary School was established in 2008 and it also offers pupils sporting activities and arts and culture programmes. On 13 January 2022, Team Members from the Musina branch visited the school to hand over much-needed school shoes for learners. The majority of the pupils at the school come from less-fortunate families and teachers would often donate items for the pupils from their own pockets. The school was grateful to receive assistance from the campaign this year.
TS Tshikota, the Principal of Beitbridge Primary School, thanked the Team for their generosity and added that learners will now be motivated and encouraged to attend lessons at school.
