When the nine designers chosen to form the Hollywoodbets Durban July Durban Fashion Fair Rising Stars Collection show their raceday outfits for the first time at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping on Wednesday evening, they will be abuzz with the news that the Hollywood Foundation has committed R250 000 to support the emerging designers careers.
The nine Durban Fashion Fair’s Rising Stars have been selected for the Hollywoodbets Enterprise Social Development programme. This follows a vetting process in the form of interviews that was held with Group Transformation Manager, Babongile Mkhize, last Monday at Hollywoodbets head office.
The total investment into the programme is in the amount of R250 000. The Hollywood Foundation has pledged to assist recipients across the region with their business development needs.
The funding will be awarded in the form of items such as machinery and any other tools they would require in order to conduct their day-to-day business.
