Hollywoodbets and Shimza unite through #HopeisPower

On Thursday, 22 July 2021, the communities of Tembisa, Kliptown and Soweto received some much-needed relief after a week of unrest in the province. Through the Hollywoodbets #HopeIsPower campaign, DJ Shimza together with his Shimuzic Foundation made a R100 000 donation amongst community members and businesses in need.

Food parcels were created and distributed to the community members of Tembisa and Kliptown who were in need of assistance as a result of the unrest. On top of that, two local businesses whose stores were vandalised, were also helped through this donation. Street Frame Printing and Native Rebels Restaurant are now able to repair and rebuild their businesses which were damaged.
