Hollywoodbets Philippi chose to support Sakhingomso Educare Centre for the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2020/21

This charity care centre is located in the community of Philippi and cares for 180 children. The centre looks after these children on a daily basis between 06:30 and 17:00 while their parents are at work. They are also involved in various community projects that aim to make a difference for their surrounding area.
The Hollywoodbets Team from Philippi donated stationery, toys, floor mats and mattress towards this deserving organisation. The Team chose to make this donation because many of the centre’s children were sharing mattresses and there weren’t many toys and supplies prior to the donation.
Principal Pelisa Kanzi was grateful to the Hollywoodbets Team for their help.

“These items will allow our children to have new and more toys to play with in the day. We are also excited to have new mattresses so that not all of our children have to share them during nap time and it will make for a more comfortable sleep for them,” she explained.
