The Hollywood Foundation prides itself on its ability to impact many developing businesses across the country. Pitila (Pty) Ltd was one of many SMMEs that received assistance from the Team at the start of this year. The business is located in Mpumalanga and it is comprised of workers who make shoes, jewellery and clothes from scratch.
Previously, the business was barely functioning as it did not have enough stock to make items for the orders that it received on a daily basis. The Team from Mpumalanga was thrilled to pay a visit to the business to hand over an array of essential items, such as wool, jacaranda thread, beads and inner soles. Thandy B Ubisi, a representative for Pitila (Pty) Ltd, explained that the contribution will assist the business greatly, as the items will ensure that the business makes a profit. She added that the business will now be able to make and deliver orders without having to cancel and disappoint customers due to stock issues. Thandy said that the goal for the business is to eventually employ over 20 women, who will work hard to ensure that the business is well-known for potential customers.
