Hollywoodbets Northdale chose to support Pietermaritzburg Children’s Home (PCH) as part of Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2018/2019. Read on to learn more about the team’s donation.

This home has a rich history and is well-known within KwaZulu-Natal as they first opened in 1886.
PCH provides 24 hour residential care to those who need it most. This includes children who have been abandoned, abused or neglected by their parents.
The home also runs various programmes, including therapeutic programmes, to help the children in their care develop holistically.
Hollywoodbets Northdale chose to do their part to assist this worthy charity by donating a three-piece lounge suite. This will be used by about twenty young boys living in one of their cottages.
The home’s general manager Mrs Fiona Balgobind is grateful for the support.
“The new lounge suite will help to make a tremendously positive impact on the environment the children stay in. Most of them spend 365 days in their unit because the majority of our children don’t have families that can take them home for the holidays.”
