The Enterprise and Supplier Development Team from the Hollywood Foundation was proud to visit Moya WeKhaya Co-operative Ltd, on 29 April 2022. This business is situated in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. The business focusses on farming and gardening.
Previously, the business endured many hardships and one of its challenges was discarding food. The Team was proud to lend a helping hand, through the contribution of a container, a stove, a sink and pots for the business.
The business was overwhelmed to receive the much-needed assistance, which will make a positive contribution on its overall functioning. Tenjiwe Kaba, a representative from Moya WeKhaya Co-operative Ltd, said that the contribution will allow for their pack shed and soup kitchen to grow and develop, as well as attracting more youth within the community to get involved in farming.
