This academy’s goal is to help train athletes from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.
They are home to approximately 190 athletes that take part in sports like athletics, swimming, soccer and netball.
They host weekly practice sessions at the Wanderers sports facility in Scottsville.
They are proud of the fact that their Under 13, 15 and 17 teams won the 2018 Easter Tournament. They also won all their league divisions for the 2018 season!
The Under 17 team were also promoted to the SAB League.
The Raisethorpe Team chose to support this worthy initiative by donating a soccer kit the Under 17 team.
The club’s director Mr V. Myeni thanked the Team for the assistance.
“We as MDAS appreciate this donation as it is helping us look presentable during the tournaments we participate in as well as the league matches we play every weekend,” he said.
