Throughout this year, the Hollywood Foundation’s Team have been working hard to impact the lives of many people in South Africa. Various non-profit organisations that address various needs were grateful to receive aid from the Purple Team, through various CSI projects.
Masibambisane Home-Base Care and Development, an organisation based in the Eastern Cape, was established in 2010, and it aims to make a significant impact in the community through its educational and nutritional programmes. The organisation was formed as a response to HIV/AIDS, and its crippling effect within various households. Masibambisane Home-Base Care has many goals that it wishes to accomplish in the future, including ensuring quality education for children, nutrition for disadvantaged individuals, as well as skills development. On 10 November 2022, the Team from Newton Park paid a special visit to the organisation, to contribute a fridge, a kettle and baby chairs. This formed part of a CSI initiative, after the Purple Team witnessed the great efforts done by this establishment to improve livelihoods.
Mirriam Mbekela, the Project Manager for Masibambisane Home-Base Care and Development, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for the much-needed support, and said that the contribution will allow the staff to store food for the nutritional programme.
