The Hollywood Foundation is continuing to highlight the importance of education and learning. Through their CSI projects, the Team have been making a positive impact on many organisations across the country, by contributing towards the development of many children. This time, the Purple Team went further and granted this opportunity to adults as well, in an effort to encourage learning opportunities.
Indigo Community Development is a non-profit organisation that was established in 2021, with the aim to provide educational programmes to individuals within the community. Their goal is to open more centres and assist more children, youth and adults. The workers have opened up about the many challenges that they have had to face, including the discontinuation of classes this year, due to lack of resources. On 17 November 2022, the Team from George paid a friendly visit to the organisation, to contribute much-needed office equipment to assist with classes. This formed part of the Team’s CSI projects.
Vuyokazi Meleni, the Centre Manager at Indigo Community Development, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for their support and dedication towards education in the country, and said that equipment will help to accommodate more students in the future.
