The Hollywood Foundation is continuing to reach and support many organisations on a daily basis. The Team is always proud to make a meaningful impact on an array of focus groups, including the youth. Youth for Christ, an organisation based in Pietermaritzburg, was delighted to welcome a visit from the Team on 09 March 2022. The Team travelled to the organisation to make a much-needed positive impact on this organisation, which has proven to be a safe haven for many young people within the community.
The organisation opened its doors in 1985, and it consists of workers who implement many projects and customised programmes that focus on giving hope and support to children and youth from vulnerable and disadvantaged households. The Hollywood Foundation was proud to contribute many appliances to the organisation, such as a fridge, a stove, a microwave, and stationery supplies, which will allow the organisation to continue to empower the youth.
Sboniso Nzuza, the Regional Director of Youth for Christ, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for their kind contribution, and said that the items will have a positive impact on the organisation as it was already struggling to purchase appliances. He added that the appliances will be used at a girl’s shelter called Tennyson House.
