Cries of “We’re going up” rang around the stands of Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Brentford Football Club ended their 74-year wait for top flight football, after defeating Swansea 2-0 in the Championship play-off final.

Cries of “We’re going up” rang around the stands of Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon as Brentford Football Club ended their 74-year wait for top-flight football, after defeating Swansea 2-0 in the Championship play-off final.

The West London-based club suffered defeat in last season’s play-off final against Fulham in which a Joe Bryan extra time double saw off the industrious Bees. There was no such pain this time around as first-half strikes from Ivan Toney and Emiliano Marcondes washed away the pain of 9 unsuccessful play-off campaigns since relegation from the First Division in the 1946-47 season.

Hollywoodbets joined Brentford’s remarkable promotion campaign in early November, with the our logo appearing on the back of all official match-day kit worn by the club’s First Team. It’s been a wild ride since then. The Bees, as the club is affectionally known, enjoyed a remarkable 21-game unbeaten run, a Carabao Cup semi-final, a record-breaking 31-goal regular-season return from Ivan Toney and of course, play-off success.

In addition to being the club’s Official Betting Partner, we also took part in several campaigns centred around uplifting Brentford’s communities. We share an important value with The Bees, giving back to those in need in their communities. In saying this, during the period between 7 November and 31 December, we committed to donating £100 toward the Brentford Community Sports Trust for every goal the team scored. In the end, £2 000 was raised for this cause. During the play-offs, a similar initiative was put forward, seeing the company pledge £250 for every play-off goal scored. After netting five times in total against Bournemouth and Swansea, an additional £1 250 was raised for the Brentford Community Trust, with Hollywoodbets doubling this to £2 500 to celebrate the promotion to the Premier League. The team at Hollywoodbets looks forward to more of these campaigns as the club makes its debut in the top-flight next season.

“Congratulations to everyone involved at the club. It’s been a joy working with Brentford FC throughout the season and the success on the pitch reflects how well the club is run behind the scenes. We here at Hollywoodbets are amped to see the Team mix it up with some of the biggest names in world football next season in the Premier League and for us to be a part of this,” said Hollywoodbets Soccer Brand Manager, Wayde Dorkin.

“We’ve had a historic season and thoroughly enjoyed working very closely with the Hollywoodbets team in South Africa. Their passion, approach and support for Brentford FC and our Community Sports Trust has been truly outstanding,” said James Parkinson, Commercial Director of Brentford FC.
