The Hollywood Foundation Team was on-hand to assist Bodwe Drop-In Centre in November. The Team prides itself on the ability to identify and support an array of non-profit organisations that prioritise the needs of the community. Early childhood development and welfare are major focus areas for the Purple Team, and after witnessing the good efforts being done by this centre, the iBranch Team in Limpopo chose to spend a day with them and hand over essential items.
Bodwe Drop-In Centre was established in 2012, and it offers support services for vulnerable individuals within the community. This centre was established due to the high rate of substance abuse that was prevalent within Bodwe. The passionate and hardworking staff within the centre have a common goal, which is to ensure the safety and security of children. Previously, the centre was struggling to cook enough meals to feed individuals, who consider the organisation to be a safe haven. Through a CSI project, the Team contributed items, such as tables, gas stoves, pots, cups and plates.
