Hollywoodbets Paarl chose to support Norsa Community Care as part of the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for 2019/2020. Read on to learn more about the team’s visit.

The beneficiaries of this organisation are orphans and vulnerable children, as well as high risk families who live in informal settlements. Norsa provides nutritional support, educational support, psycho-social support, residential care, early childhood development care as well as offering an after-school care service. The organisation reaches out to more than 4000 families and children through their community development programmes and their health programmes.
The Hollywoodbets Paarl Team received a request from the centre asking for support. A donation of 30 hoola-hoops, 30 small chairs, an urn, five fans, two gas cannisters, crayons, colouring pencils and 20 glue sticks were made to the charity.
Financial Manager of Norsa, Louise de Wet, was thankful to the Hollywoodbets Team for their assistance.
“This donation will help us strengthen our resources, helping us to render more effective services. It will also contribute towards the sustainability of the programmes that Norsa offers, which is of high importance,”she said.
