Mmamakwa Primary School is based in Limpopo and it was established in 1976. The school was ecstatic to hear that it will be receiving assistance from the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign for the new schooling year in 2022. Many parents and teachers are currently experiencing a tough month after the festive season. It was a privilege for the Team from Bela Bela to reach out to this government school and extend a helping hand.
Apart from educational services, children at the school also engage in sporting activities and receive meals. Before the campaign, teachers at the school would get together and buy uniforms to give to pupils who came from poor households. The Team paid a visit to the school on 12 January 2022 to make a meaningful contribution in the form of school tracksuits.
Chabalala T.R, a teacher at Mmamakwa Primary School, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for their assistance and said that the contribution will motivate the learners and help them to feel equal amongst the other children.
