Hollywood Foundation opens its heart to the community of Western Cape

Hollywood Foundation launches in Western Cape

Smiles lit up many faces as the Purple Team officially launched the Hollywood Foundation. The Hollywood Foundation looks to uplift previously disadvantaged individuals and empowers them to reach their full potential. It also seeks to serve the needs of various communities throughout our beautiful country.

The Team met at PP Smith Sportsfield in Bellville on Wednesday, 6 October 2021, together with other guests and representatives from House of Manna. House of Manna is a community skills development initiative that seeks to combat unemployment and poverty by teaching young men and women the skill of garment making. Their initiative also ties into one of the pillars for the Hollywood Foundation, Education and Training, where the Team believe that it is important to equip people with skills and training so that they in turn can empower themselves. The Foundation was proud to donate domestic embroidery sewing machines to the organisation, which were valued at R75 000.

“The Hollywood Foundation has officially launched and I am eager to see the huge impact that we are going to make in the lives of the people out there, as well as in the industry.”

“We are working with young women who are unemployed. We teach them sewing skills, as well as entrepreneurship skills. With that, they are able to make an income. The Hollywood Foundation has enabled us to drive a step closer to our goals.”
