Blink Community Projects is a new organisation, having only opened their doors in 2019, whose mission is to embark on the social development among the youth in the community of Wrenchville. They have a programme which aims to educate their youth on current social issues which are affecting their growth within South Africa. In order for the organisation to continue doing their good work in the community, they received a R 12 500 donation from well-known bookmaker, Hollywoodbets. These funds were used to purchase food parcels 20 families in the community.
The company recently announced their “Brighter Future” project in collaboration with Nomzamo Mbatha’s Lighthouse Foundation. The initiative is a R1 million pledge which was made to 60 NPOs and NGOs across all nine provinces in South Africa which will aid the communities who are in dire need as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the national lockdown.
Director at Blink Community Projects, Tebogo Butie, was grateful to have received this additional support at this time.

“From all of us at Blink Community Projects, we would like to thank and acknowledge Hollywoodbets for their donation. The funds were used to purchase food parcels for 20 families on our community who have been struggling to receive their food donations and parcels because of the national lockdown. Since the handover, we have been receiving compliments from the community who expressed their gratefulness to Hollywoodbets as they wouldn’t have had a stable food source if the company didn’t show their support. We look forward to working with Hollywoodbets in the future,” he said.

“Since Blink Community Project came into our community last year, they have been doing their very best to assist with the upliftment in our community in any way that they can. It is important for organisations like this to receive the support of Hollywoodbets in order for them to carry on with their good work that they are doing,” explained Skele Ntlatseng, Free State Area Manager for Hollywoodbets.
