Hunters Rugby Club was established in 1980 in order to develop rugby in the area and to teach members leadership skills.
The primary aim of the club is to help Gxulu community members by teaching them ball skills and providing a platform for participation in sporting activities. There are more than 75 players at the Club who train weekly in order to grow and establish the team.
In partnership with the Phaka Rugby Show, Hollywoodbets chose to offer their support to the Club through the means of a sponsorship. The Team, therefore, handed over playing kits and training equipment to the Club to help them on their rugby journey.
Chairperson of Hunters, MP Mzekula, was excited to receive this donation for his players.
“This contribution toward Hunters Rugby Club will help us in the fight against crime and drug prevention. It will encourage the unemployed youth to join our Club and encourage them to take part in sport,” he said.
