The Hollywood Foundation’s CSI initiatives are weaving a tapestry of hope and transformation across communities in South Africa. By partnering with like-minded organisations, the Hollywood Foundation aims to better the lives of those who need it the most. One such shining beacon is Sowing and Reaping NPO, a testament to the Foundation’s commitment to uplifting lives. Established in 2022, this remarkable organisation has become a catalyst for change, offering a fully funded seven-day home bakers’ course to unemployed women.
At the core of the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI initiatives lies a dedication to spotlighting impactful organisations like Sowing and Reaping NPO. This organisation not only imparts the art of baking and decorating but also aligns with individual needs, providing a pathway for these women to confidently step into a world of possibilities. The seven-day course not only nurtures their skills but empowers graduates to earn a livelihood, creating a ripple effect that benefits their families and communities.
The Montague Gardens team, inspired by the profound impact of Sowing and Reaping NPO, nominated the organisation with heartfelt enthusiasm. Witnessing the tangible difference in the lives of unemployed women, the team recognised the potential for lasting change. Through this nomination, the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI initiatives continue to be a driving force, paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.
On 19 December 2023, the Hollywood Foundation and Montague Garden team visited Sowing and Reaping NPO to make a generous contribution of a double-door fridge and oven to assist the organisation in fulfilling its mission to assist as many women as possible.
Judy Romon, a beneficiary of Sowing and Reaping NPO, expressed her gratitude for the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI contribution. “We can now store so many more items in the fridge, and the oven will enable us to accommodate more women baking and save us time,” she joyfully exclaimed. Judy’s words echo the transformative impact of the Hollywood Foundation’s CSI programme, showcasing how small gestures can lead to significant changes in the lives of individuals and communities.
