Based in Chesterville, Ukukhanya Kwelanga Primary School has been educating learners since 1960. The school has high hopes and dreams for its learners, who come from predominantly poor areas in the region. News that the school will be receiving assistance and support from the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign this year left many teachers and learners feeling overwhelmed and happy.
The school has the goal to establish cricket and swimming clubs for its learners. Teachers take an active approach to instill knowledge, skills and abilities in the learners, who work tirelessly on a daily basis to get an education that will improve their lives. On 1 February 2022, the Team from Malvern was proud to contribute brand new school uniforms and stationery supplies for learners to use this new year.
