The Western Cape is still using the Back to School campaign to touch the hearts of many learners. The Hollywood Foundation is in the process of making a difference through this lifechanging initiative, which has given many children a sense of hope and confidence for the new school year. Silverleaf Primary School was the latest school that felt a sense of happiness after hearing that it will be benefitting from the campaign. The school was established in 2015.
The school has mentioned some of the challenges that it faces on a constant basis, which includes teaching learners who do not own a proper school uniform. When children are made to stand out from others, it makes them feel less confident and lowers their self-esteem. The Team from Dunoon was proud to boost the self-confidence of the learners at the school through the contribution of new school uniforms.
Ms N Vumazonke, a Principal at Silverleaf Primary School, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for introducing this meaningful initiative, and said that the contribution will go a long way to assist vulnerable learners at the school.
