The Back to School campaign has already impacted many learners across the country. The Hollywood Foucampaign aims to ensure that learners are equipped with basic schools supplies, such as stationery and school uniforms, as they get ready to tackle the new schooling year ahead.
On 19 January 2023, the Purple Team, together with East Coast Radio, chose to make a difference at Senzokuhle Primary in Inanda, Durban. The school is comprised of many learners who depend on the support and care from teachers. The staff at the school have opened up about the many challenges that parents have had to face, such as buying essential school supplies at the beginning of the year, just after the festive season.
The Team, alongside Darren Maule from East Coast Radio, travelled to the school to hand over boxes of shoes and some stationery supplies for the children to use during the year. The staff and learners were excited to welcome the Team and listen to inspirational speeches about the importance of education. The learners also performed various touching song and dance items, to show their appreciation to the Hollywood Foundation and East Coast Radio for impacting their school with the Back to School campaign.
