In the heart of Chatsworth, football has become a force for transformation — and Chatsworth Rangers Sport Club is leading the charge. Established in 2017, the Club was founded out of a deep love for the game and an even deeper commitment to uplifting the community. What started as a small initiative has grown into a powerful youth development platform, now serving over 180 players aged 7 to 17.
The Club was formed with a clear purpose, to offer young people an alternative to the growing challenges of substance abuse, crime, and poverty. “Our pledge was always to empower our kids through football, keeping them off the street and far away from the drug epidemic that plagues our community,” shared Club Representative Arusha Ramnarain.
On 3 July 2025, the Hollywood Foundation’s Corporate Social Investment (CSI) Team, in collaboration with the Hollywoodbets Chatsworth Branch, officially handed over brand-new soccer kits and essential training equipment to the Club. This much-needed support is part of the Foundation’s My Sports pillar, a programme dedicated to grassroots Sports Development.
Chatsworth Rangers has already seen incredible success. Their proudest moment came when they were crowned champions in three divisions in the same tournament. Even more impressively, several players have progressed to professional ranks, including the Motsepe League and the Men’s Regional Castle League.
However, sustaining the Club has been challenging. They rely heavily on sponsorships and donations to operate. The CSI contribution from the Hollywood Foundation now allows the Club to extend its reach, improve training conditions, and ensure their young athletes are well-equipped and presentable at matches.
“With this contribution, we will continue to reignite the passion for football in our community,” added Arusha. “We now have access to additional and better equipment, giving even more kids the opportunity to join, dream big, and stay focused on positive goals. Thank you to the Hollywood Foundation and Chatsworth Branch for believing in us.”
