Rata Ngwana, a non-profit organisation, is based in Bela-Bela in Limpopo, and it has been enriching the lives of learners since 2017. Through various CSI-based projects, the Hollywood Foundation has been focussing on implementing various initiatives across the country that touch the hearts of many children and improve their education and wellbeing.
The organisation seeks to offer educational lessons to young learners from the community. The Purple Team is aware of the challenges that many disadvantaged families have to face, and the importance of ensuring that children are nurtured and given basic love, care and attention. On 5 October 2022, the Team from Bela-Bela embarked on a meaningful CSI handover, and contributed an array of educational items to Rata Ngwana, such as educational charts, puzzles, and a trampoline.
Tehidi Sekhu, the Principal of Rata Ngwana, was delighted to receive the much-needed assistance from the Hollywood Foundation, and said that these items will assist teachers during classroom activities and help to stimulate the learner’s cognitive functioning.
