Skills development continues to be a major focus for the Hollywood Foundation. Through many of its CSI projects, the Team aims to extend its reach to organisations and institutions that are actively making a difference to upskill and empower communities.
Kamiesberg Resource Youth Hub was established in 2018, and it offers skills development programmes to upskill the youth within the community. This organisation has a goal to equip over 1 200 young people with relevant skills and abilities, that will make them successful in the future. Previously, the staff struggled to implement computer programmes, due to a lack of equipment. On 17 November 2022, the iBranch Team from the Northern Cape paid a visit to the organisation, to contribute an array of items, such as a laptop, a desk and a printer. This formed part of a meaningful CSI initiative, that aims to motivate the youth to overcome various challenges.
Reagam Beukes, the CEO of Kamiesberg Resource Youth Hub, thanked the Hollywood Foundation for supporting their initiatives, and said that the equipment will ensure that students get the opportunity to complete computer literacy programmes.
