Zevoli 394 NPC provide essentials to 30 families thanks to Hollywoodbets and Lighthouse Foundation’s Brighter Future Project
Zevoli 394 NPC operates out of the Saulsville community in Gauteng. Their main objective is to introduce an element of arts and culture to those living in townships in their surrounding areas. They are also known for providing food parcels to the families of the children that they assist. This has become even more vital role during the COVID-19 pandemic. A R12 500 donation was made by Hollywoodbets to the organisation which resulted in the creation of 30 food parcels that went to their beneficiaries.
The leading bookmaker made this donation after their recent announcement that their Hollywoodbets My Community Programme will be joining up with Nomzamo Mbatha’s Lighthouse Foundation to create the Brighter Future Project. As part of this new venture a R1 million pledge was made to 60 NPOs and NGOs across all nine provinces in South Africa as part of a relief response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since 2011, Zevoli 394 NPC have been trying their best to make a difference and lighten the spirits of those who experience extreme poverty.
“Our main goal has always been upliftment. Even though, at the moment we can’t continue with this because of lockdown, we are happy to continue to show our beneficiaries that we are still willing to help and this donation from Hollywoodbets has helped us do that,” said Thandeka Mabena, Director of the organisation.
Hollywoodbets is well-known for their community work that they do in Gauteng. “We felt that it was the right thing to assist this organisation because of the difference that they make in many people’s lives. They bring them a sense of hope and personal growth. The team is excited to have started this relationship with the organisation and we look forward to hopefully showing them our support in the future again,” explained Lorraine Tshabalala, Gauteng Area Manager for Hollywoodbets.
