Based in Baldale Road, Western Cape, Happy Valley Primary School has been operating and educating its learners since 2016. The staff and learners at the school were overjoyed to learn that they will be receiving assistance from the Hollywood Foundation’s Back to School campaign.
Happy Valley is a collaboration school and it charges no school fees to the pupils. They rely solely on donations to survive, and to provide the quality academic curriculum that they do. They also provide breakfast and lunch as part of the feeding scheme at the school. A community member by the name of Nonhlanla Mkumatela nominated the school to receive the donation from the Hollywood Foundation. The Team used the opportunity to assist and donated stationery to learners at the school.
Ms P. Neale, a representative from the school, expressed her gratitude towards the campaign and the fulfilling work being done to enrich the youth. “I think the Hollywood Foundation is doing an amazing job to provide the learners with the tools for learning. They can now access the world with confidence,” she said.
