Hollywoodbets Beacon Valley chose Hannah’s Place of Safety as their organisation of choice for the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme 2020/21

This NPO is based in Mitchells Plain and aims to provide free services to the Department of Social Development. They work closely with children that have been placed on a care and protection court order. These children can stay at the centre for up to six months before being moved to foster care or adoption. They provide full time care for their beneficiaries, including accommodation, clothing, food, sanitation and covering all of their medical bills.
A Team Member from Hollywoodbets Beacon Valley first made contact with the organisation through a Facebook event on Mandela Day. After seeing the wonderful work that the organisation is doing for the vulnerable children of their community, they chose to make a donation of a washing machine, an urn, a chest of drawers, baby clothes and baby bottles.
Janine Fabe, Director of Hannah’s Place of Safety, is certain that this donation will have a great impact on the living conditions at the centre.

“Hollywoodbets has contributed to making a vulnerable child’s life better and more comfortable by ensuring that they have new clean clothes that can be stored safely in the chest of drawers. We now also have new feeding bottles that can also be kept warm with the water from the new urn,” she said.
